Elders are those men, as explicitly described in 1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1, who are charged with the authoritative teaching of Scripture and the shepherding of God’s people in response to His Word.
Dr. Adam Hammond and his family came to us in September 2018 with 26 years of ministry experience. He and his wife Amber have 5 children and are excited about ministry in the Lake Gaston area. He believes in the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ to change lives and desires to lead the church in a passionate pursuit of the Great Commission. Pastor Adam is a native Floridian,and has served churches in Florida, Texas and Alabama. Pastor Adam has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading old Puritan books, keeping up with NASCAR, and watching reruns of the Andy Griffith Show. Josiah Antill, Associate Pastor for Family Ministries
Having grown up at Lake Gaston Baptist Church, Josiah began serving at Lake Gaston Baptist as Associate Pastor in June 2017. He has a B.S. in Music Industry from Chowan University and Master of Divinity from Campbell University Divinity School. Josiah has served in the local church in many different capacities, most recently as the Minister of Music and Youth at First Baptist Church, Scotland Neck. He believes that strong families build strong communities both inside and outside the church. Josiah is married to Haley and the two have three beautiful children, Jeydan 5yrs, Hanalee 4yrs, and Luke 18 mos.
Clenel Preval, Missionary-in-Residence
Born and raised in Haiti, Clenel and his family came to the Littleton community in the winter of 2016. Having served in a lay capacity in churches in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, Clenel most recently worked in a tentmaker capacity while planting a Haitian church in Brazil. The Lord, however, slowly brought the family to the United States and eventually Littleton, NC. In the summer of 2017 Clenel was hired as a Missionary-in-Residence with his primary responsibilities focused on leading the evangelistic work of Lake Gaston Baptist Church in the township of Littleton and nearby communities. Clenel and his family are currently back in Haiti working with the local churches there but look forward to returning to Littleton in the future.
Clenel is married to Lovelie and the two have two boys, Kenly and Roudley.
Nancy Wright, Administrative Ministry Assistant
Born in Henderson, NC, Nancy spent her youth years in Baskerville, Va. living on a tobacco farm with her parents and since that time has been a resident of Ebony, Va. Nancy has served as the church secretary for twelve years and enjoys serving her church family. She has a daughter, Angela and granddaughter, Ella Jane. Nancy enjoys working in her yard, being at the beach, and spending time with her family.
Deacons are servants at Lake Gaston Baptist Church in accordance with the office prescribed in Acts 6 and 1 Timothy 3.
