Our Team

Having grown up at Lake Gaston Baptist Church, Josiah began serving at Lake Gaston Baptist as Associate Pastor in June 2017. He has a B.S. in Music Industry from Chowan University and Master of Divinity from Campbell University Divinity School. Josiah has served in the local church in many different capacities, most recently as the Minister of Music and Youth at First Baptist Church, Scotland Neck. He believes that strong families build strong communities both inside and outside the church. Josiah is married to Haley and the two have five beautiful children, Jeydan, Hanalee, Luke, Selah, and Ivan

Born and raised in Haiti, Clenel and his family came to the Littleton community in the winter of 2016. Having served in a lay capacity in churches in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, Clenel most recently worked in a tentmaker capacity while planting a Haitian church in Brazil. The Lord, however, slowly brought the family to the United States and eventually Littleton, NC. In the summer of 2017 Clenel was hired as a Missionary-in-Residence with his primary responsibilities focused on leading the evangelistic work of Lake Gaston Baptist Church in the township of Littleton and nearby communities.

Clenel is married to Lovelie and the two have three boys, Kenly, Roudley, and Markenly.

Bill and Ev Wesson have been attending Lake Gaston Baptist Church since the mid-80’s and became members in 2009.  They have served in various capacities in ministries there including, as Nursery volunteers, Sunday School teachers, Vacation Bible School workers, and Ev as a choir member.  They also participate with Baptists on Mission in various towns in North Carolina, with Bill driving the Health Screening Bus and Ev serving as the Hostess.  They enjoy serving their pastors and other church family members at the church – Ev, as Office Administrator, and Bill as Custodian, which they have been doing since mid-August 2022.
